Taking Control of Your Hearing and Balance Health: Expert Support for Your Family.
A Clearer Path to Better Hearing and Balance Health for Your Loved Ones.
Hi, I’m Dr. Wooyong Leo Cho.
Making the right hearing health decision for yourself or a parent can feel like navigating a complex maze. My mission here is to be your friendly neighbor in audiology, here to light up that path for you. I believe passionately in resolving the information inequalities that often exist between patients and professionals. Through extensive research and dedicated study, I've distilled the often-confusing world of audiology into clear, actionable insights. My goal is not just to share information, but to empower you with the unbiased understanding needed to make truly informed choices for your family.
I earned my Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) from California State University, Los Angeles. This academic journey, combined with my clinical experience, has equipped me with the deep knowledge base needed to analyze the latest in hearing science and clinical practices. I'm dedicated to providing patient-centered care that prioritizes clarity, understanding, and real solutions for better hearing and balance.
My own journey has shaped my perspective significantly. Having moved to the U.S. from South Korea in 2008, I've personally experienced the challenges of navigating new environments and the profound importance of clear communication in truly connecting with others. This personal understanding fuels my passion for helping others break through the communication barriers that hearing and balance difficulties can create.
My passion for audiology truly began during my time as a sound designer in Hollywood, which led me to question the very essence of how people hear. This insight profoundly deepened during a family trip to Disneyland. Witnessing the awe on people's faces during the fireworks, submerged in their happiest childhood memories, I realized it was fundamentally unfair for individuals who acquire hearing loss to be deprived of access to such precious, memory-making moments, and for those who were born with hearing loss, they deserve an opportunity to build them. I wanted to be part of the team that helps restore and create that profound connection.
